On July 25, Professor Shao Yiming, chief expert from the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, visited our company for guidance. ⟨Introduction to Professor Shao Yiming⟩
Academician of the American Academy of Microbiology, graduated from Qingdao Medical College in 1983, and obtained a Ph.D. from the Chinese Academy of Preventive Medicine in 1988. Joined the Communist Party of China in 1980 and served as a member of the Party Committee at the Institute of Virology, Academy of Preventive Medicine. Studied in France and Germany, and served as a global AIDS program advisor at WHO headquarters in 1989. Returned to China in 1990 to participate in AIDS prevention and research work to this day. Former Deputy Director of the AIDS Prevention and Control Center of the Ministry of Health and Director of the National Reference Laboratory. Currently serves as the chief expert on AIDS at the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, Director of the Virus and Immunology Research Room of the STD/AIDS Prevention and Control Center, and Director of the AIDS Research Center at Nankai University.
Member of the 10th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, outstanding young and middle-aged expert with significant contributions from the Ministry of Health, a national candidate for the first batch of the New Century "Hundred Thousand Talents Project," and a national advanced worker in 2005. Holds various academic positions, including Vice Chairman of the Expert Advisory Committee on AIDS of the Ministry of Health, Chairman of the Virology Professional Committee of the Chinese Society for Microbiology, member of the WHO AIDS Strategy and Technical Committee, consultant for the National Microbiology Alliance Virology Society, and member of the Gates Foundation Global Health Challenges Scientific Committee. One of the founders of the China AIDS Vaccine Alliance (CAVI).
